History

Our commitment that is recognized and sought after by many people.

We were established in 1938 in Kambara, a small town located between Suruga Bay and the mountains in Shizuoka Prefecture, and have been manufacturing and selling sakura ebi (shrimp) and dried fish shavings.

When I came back to the town in 1976 to take over the family business, it was not much of a business, just a small factory.

However, since that time, I have never forgotten that "I don't want to just imitate my competitors, I want to create my own authentic products.

That's why we have absolute confidence in our products, which are made with the utmost care and attention to materials and manufacturing methods.

In 1970, we started to sell our products to individual customers at our own factory.

Since we were selling directly from the factory, we were only selling to people who lived nearby, but now we ship nationwide to meet our customers' needs.

We believe that this is because our customers have recognized our commitment to our products.

We will continue to make products that will not disappoint our customers and that they can understand at a glance and with a single bite that "This is Kanejo".

To begin with, "dried fish shavings" are thinly shaved dried fish such as dried bonito and dried sardines.

To achieve this, Kanejo's individuality is created through trial and error of materials and manufacturing methods, well-honed judgement, and skilled techniques.
