Blessings of Nature Offered by Sisters Born and Raised in Kyoto

KYO-LOCO was founded by two sisters born and raised in Kyoto.

The "LOCO" in our name stands for "LOCAL." We started KYO-LOCO to bring you good things from our hometown, Kyoto.

However, we both are lazy.

"We want to have healthy skin, but we don't want to be bothered with skin care."

So we decided to create a "simple, high-quality skincare" that we would want to use ourselves.

Our ANBAN series was the first to be created.

KYO-LOCO believes that true beauty comes from within, and skincare is merely a supplement to that.

We hope that from here in Kyoto, we can help you "live your life as yourself."

We are currently developing two skincare series: our ANBAN series, which mainly uses traditional Japanese-Chinese botanicals; and our WAEKA series, which mainly uses natural ingredients.

【ANBAN】

ANBAN is a series of skincare items using traditional "wakan" Japanese-Chinese botanicals.

Kyoto has long been closely associated with Buddhism, so the name was taken from Sanskrit, the main language of Buddhism.

"AN" stands for "eternal beauty" and "BAN" for "universal beauty.

" The colors and shapes of ANBAN's items vary depending on the season and the condition of the harvested plants, but that is charm point only possible with natural ingredients.

We believe that the ingredients in their natural state are what make for healthy skin, not a forced uniformity.

We carefully finish each product at a low temperature so as not to destroy the naturally beautifying ingredients from heat.

【WAEKA】

WAEKA is a skincare series using mild, plant-derived ingredients.

WAEKA comes from the ancient word " Aeka."

Aeka" means "fragile and beautiful."

WAEKA's items help bring out the beauty that is uniquely Japanese and Kyoto, just as the word " Aeka" implies.

Please enjoy the natural scent of yuzu (citrus fruit) aroma oil produced in Mizuo, Kyoto.
