【NEW ARRIVAL】MURAYAMA MOKKO|KYO-SASHIMONO

Murayama Mokko in Kyoto City, Japan, is an interior decorating company that uses the technique of sashimono, a type of wood joinery.

Sashimono is an ancient Japanese technique of making furniture and furnishings by combining boards and pieces of wood without using nails.

Kyo shimono originated in the court nobles' culture of the Heian period (794-1185) and was greatly developed in the tea ceremony culture of the Muromachi period (1333-1573).

It is elegant and gorgeous, yet delicate and slender, and beautifully reflects the spirit of the people of Kyoto, who believed that "fragile pieces should be used carefully because they are fragile.

Murayama Mokko developed and patented the curved surface Kumiko, seeking a way to preserve the traditional technique for the next generation while passing it on to the next generation.

The lighting of KYOKUMIKO®, which makes full use of light and shadow, is sure to soothe and impress the viewer.

The design matches the lifestyles of modern people, so why not incorporate it into your home?
