History
Continuing to take on challenges by making the most of “cutting” technology
MOLATURA is a brand born from Nakamura Seisakusho located in Yokkaichi, Mie Prefecture.
Since its foundation, Nakamura Seisakusho has been engaged in high-precision machining of aerospace parts and other parts with a precision of 1/1000 mm.
We continue to take on daily challenges with the words of our predecessors, "We will cut anything but air," and with the idea of "creating society through cutting."
Using "cutting" techniques that have been refined over many years and the local traditional craft of "Yokkaichi Banko-Yaki," we have developed an exquisite pot using clay and metal.
MOLATURA means "cutting" in Italian.
Not only cutting work, but also an attitude of challenging everything.
MOLATURA is also the embodiment of our desire to contribute to the local community.
Characteristic
Incorporating precision processing technology into traditional crafts
MOLATURA products are made from Yokkaichi Banko-Yaki, a traditional craft of Yokkaichi City, Mie Prefecture.
Banko-yaki is a type of pottery started in the mid-Edo period (18th century) by Nunami Rozan, a merchant in Kuwana (Kuwana City, Mie).
Since then, it has been passed down through 300 years by craftsmen of each era, creating products that meet the needs of the time.
In 2009, the name "Yokkaichi Banko-Yaki" was registered as a regional collective trademark.
Earthen pots are a representative product of Banko-yaki, accounting for approximately 80% of the domestic market share.
Banko-yaki is a semi-porcelain ware with properties intermediate between ceramics and porcelain, and is characterized by its hardness of porcelain and softness of ceramics.
It is a material with low thermal conductivity and high heat storage capacity.
We have finished Banko-yaki earthenware pots using high-precision technology, which is also used in the processing of precision parts, to ensure that there are no gaps between the pieces.
MOLATURA is a cooking utensil with excellent heat retention and sealing properties.
For Customers
Enjoy cooking! We want to bring smiles to your table!
We want to provide products that people can actually use and enjoy.
With this in mind, we have prepared a line of cookware that combines traditional techniques passed down from generation to generation with high-precision modern technology.
The "best pot" is an earthenware pot with enhanced heat storage properties and the "RANGESTAR" is a grill pan that can be used in microwave ovens and toaster ovens.
Designed to be airtight to keep heat and flavor in.
The weight of the cast-iron lid makes it airtight, allowing steam that contains the flavor of the ingredients to circulate and keep the heat in.
Even when removed from the heat, the heat retention continues, allowing for heat storage cooking.
This saves time in cooking and saves on energy costs. Also, the nutrition is not lost and the flavor of the ingredients is concentrated, so less seasoning is required than in conventional cooking.
You can enjoy a variety of dishes depending on your ideas, from stewing to cooking without water and cooking rice.
Bring smiles and color to your dining table with MOLATURA's items.
We hope you will enjoy a rich and comfortable time at your dining table.
