Adorable Komainu in the palm of your hand
Komainu figurines are produced using traditional Edo Mokumekomi techniques.
Kimekomi dolls are made by carving grooves into a base made of paulownia clay and dressing them in beautiful costumes.
Komainu is meant to ward off evil and was originally placed in pairs on either side of the shrine's hall of worship.
We thought it would be nice to name them "Shiro," "Kuro," and "Charo" so that they would become a familiar presence in your home.
The dolls are lightweight, durable, and hard to lose their shape, making them easy to display anywhere.
It will be a great gift to celebrate or pray for a loved one.
