설명
Masks of Kagura, an ancient Japanese art form
This kagura mask decoration is made using the traditional Edo Kimekomi technique and finished with beautiful Nishijin silk.
Kimekomi dolls are made by carving grooves into a base made of paulownia clay and dressing them in beautiful costumes.
The motif is based on masks used in Kagura, a dance and song to worship the gods.
The fox is a messenger of the god of food, the Hannya mask is meant to ward off evil due to its scary appearance, and Otafuku is a wish to “bring in lots of good fortune.
The decoration is lightweight, durable, and hard to lose its shape, so it is easy to place anywhere and carry with you.
It will be appreciated as a gift to celebrate or pray for your loved ones.
