Peace Crafts SAGA is a project of Peace Winds Japan (PW), a certified NPO that supports people whose lives are threatened by conflict and disaster.
Since 2017, Peace Crafts SAGA has been connecting traditional craft businesses in Saga Prefecture with leading designers and artists from Japan and abroad to create cutting-edge traditional crafts with an eye toward the future.
The creators of traditional crafts, which have been passed down from generation to generation in a region rich in nature, are full of professionalism, a desire not to let them disappear, and love for their hometown.
By incorporating innovative essences into their products, they are able to upgrade them into stylish and innovative gems.
