History

Refining Okinawa's Unique Culture

The KANASAN Project is an Okinawa-based initiative launched in 2023.

It was born out of a desire to enrich the local community through Okinawa's tourism resources—its beautiful seas, abundant nature, and unique culture and history.

While promoting regional revitalization through tourism, we are reevaluating the value of Okinawa's unique cultural "treasures" and branding the local materials and natural resources that lie dormant in the region.

We are also promoting environmentally conscious manufacturing with the aim of preserving these resources for future generations.

"KANASAN" means "dear," "I love," or "I like."

The name derives from "Uchinaaguchi," the dialect spoken in Okinawa.

Through the KANASAN Project, we will refine the "treasures" cherished by the people of Okinawa into more sophisticated products and deliver them to you.

Bringing Everyday Life to Life with Okinawa's Treasured Materials

The KANASAN Project supports initiatives to protect Okinawa's natural environment, while also promoting and selling products created through these activities.

When you think of Okinawa, you picture the beautiful, sparkling emerald-green sea and unspoiled nature.

One also thinks of the unique plants that thrive under the strong sunlight.

In particular, when we took a fresh look at the value of things we islanders have consumed since ancient times—such as sea grapes, getto (a plant traditionally used as a medicinal herb), and mineral-rich deep-sea water—we realized they are irreplaceable "treasures."

Therefore, using these natural blessings unique to Okinawa as raw materials, we have developed products infused with the spirit of "hospitality" and "thoughtfulness."

Our main product lines include hair care, body care, and facial care.

We use ingredients unique to Okinawa—such as mozuku seaweed, sea grapes, chomeiso, getto, and shikuwasa—and formulate our products using mineral-rich deep-sea water drawn from the waters off Kumejima.

From Okinawa, the island of health and longevity, we wholeheartedly deliver simple yet cherished skincare items.
