History
Bringing Kagawa lacquerware to your table
87.5 is a lacquerware product brand that was launched in 2015.
We use traditional craft techniques to finish natural wood with lacquer to enhance water resistance, insulation, antiseptic and antibacterial properties.
Lacquerware is not difficult to handle; it is a suitable tool for everyday use.
The name of the brand is based on the idea of promoting the use of lacquerware from Shikoku and Kagawa.
The name "87.5" comes from the location of the workshop on the road from 87 to 88 on the Shikoku 88 Pilgrimage.
Characteristic
Tableware that responds to your love.
A characteristic of natural lacquerware that cannot be found in plastic, ceramic, or glass products is that it develops a beautiful luster and a moist hand-feel as it is used.
This is a pleasure that can only come from the beauty of lacquer as it ages.
Since lacquerware is resistant to breakage and heat transfer, you can use it safely even when you pour warm soup into it.
Many people think that lacquerware is difficult to care for, but with a little effort, you can enjoy the beauty of lacquerware for a long time.
