Incense Kitchen opened in 2020 in Uji City, Kyoto—a region famous for its Uji matcha. Under our own brand, "KOTOHA (Fragrance and Tea Leaves)," we craft incense that allows you to enjoy the rich, natural aroma of Uji matcha. Its charm lies in its lovely, elegant appearance, reminiscent of the traditional sweets served with matcha.
We upcycle the matcha that accumulates in stone mills and filters during the Uji tea production process. By processing this matcha—which was traditionally discarded—while it is still fresh, we have captured its full, rich aroma.
