While continuously honing traditional craftsmanship techniques, Tatsumasa Imai, who served as our company's president and received the "Master Craftsman of Modern Times" award from the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare in 2012, held a strong conviction: "Traditional crafts cease to exist the moment they stop evolving."
While valuing the inheritance of traditional techniques, we have been developing products suited to changing lifestyles for over 20 years.
We also focus on nurturing talent, including hiring recent graduates. This is rare in the world of artisan crafts, which often struggles with a shortage of successors. At our workshop, young people in their 20s and 30s make up over half of our workforce, diligently honing their skills every day.
This time, we have created products across a wide range of genres, including sake vessels, vases, and paperweights. Please pick them up and experience them for yourself, whether for everyday use or as a gift.
