Description
May you escape from misfortune!
This is an objet d'art created by a French designer and Eguchi Doll Store, which has been producing lovely and plump Yumino dolls for more than 140 years in the Yumino district of Takeo City.
The motif is based on the turtle in the old tale "Urashima Taro" and Otohime-sama in the Dragon's Palace. The turtle's shell, which is a symbol of good fortune, is painted on the entire surface as a Kagome pattern to ward off bad luck.
It is one of the works that were well received at the international crafts fair "Revelation 2017" in Paris, and has a world view with the Mannen Tortoise, which transcends time and space with Urashima Taro on board, leading the way, followed by multiple Otohime behind him.
The turtle's shell, wishing for everlasting happiness, is recommended for decorating a room with multiple pieces, celebrating longevity, or Mother's Day.
