The vibrant patterns are created using a proprietary glaze that Touan researched and developed in-house. By harnessing the natural crystallization of the glaze, the technique produces colors of remarkable clarity — almost as if the surface were coated in glass. This series, named "Hana Kesshō" (Flower Crystal), stands as one of Touan's most iconic works today.
