History

The pottery surviving through four generations

Our current owner is the fourth generation since the establishment.

The brilliant appearance of our products is enabled by Touan's originally developed glaze to coat the surface, the prominent skill that makes others impossible to imitate.

It is also what makes our coloring and design one and only. Our design, capturing the beauty of plants and flowers, is created through our excellent skills on sketching, captivating our customers for long years.

Currently, we have been successfully grasping the needs of the markets by producing interior decorations, which are highly valued.

Characteristic

Original technology of baking at a high temperature

Most of the brilliant paints on ceramics are generally created through baking at a relatively lower temperature of around 800 degrees.

However, Touan has stuck to baking at a high temperature at more than 1200 degrees.

It is said that it's hard to have variation of colors with such a high temperature method.

However, our research and investment allow us to figure out the best combination of paints and glaze that creates beautiful and transparent colors as if coated with glass.

We proudly present our one-and-only products manufactured with our original method.
