History
After 15 years of training, became independent in Kyoto
After studying business administration at university, I began studying glass in Otaru, Hokkaido in 1994
In 2007, I created a wine glass for use in a commercial for Mitsubishi UFJ Securities.
After 15 years of training, I established SUN GLASS STUDIO KYOTO in 2010 in Kyoto, my hometown, with the desire to make as many people as possible aware of the appeal of glass and to continue creating glass that enriches our lives.
Since then, I have held solo exhibitions at department stores in major cities across Japan and participated in Paris Design Week.
I have been working vigorously to convey the appeal of glass.
Characteristic
Gentleness and happiness born from soft forms
In creating my works, I try to create works that are easy to fit into people's daily lives so that they can be used all year round regardless of the season.
With the theme of beautiful Japanese scenery, I pursue the beauty that is uniquely Japanese by using gold and silver leaf, while harmonizing the delicacy and profundity of Kyoto.
I would be happy if you could feel the soft form and warmth of glasswork in my works.
The more you use my works with their soft forms, the more you will love them and the more they will make your life a gentle time.
For Customers
I want to convey the fun of handmade products
I hope that with my work, people will be able to appreciate the fun of "handmade" products created by human hands.
Another characteristic of "handmade" is that no two pieces are the same.
As an artist, it would make me very happy if you could enjoy using these unique charms of "handmade" products as part of your daily life.
We hope you will enjoy them in your own hands.
