Since their establishment as a sandal manufacturer in 1963, Yamato has continued to manufacture their products from start to finish at their workshop near the Seto Inland Sea.

The company has a long history of producing shoes for numerous apparel makers, and in 2016, launched its own “Reela” sandal brand at an exhibition in Ehime Prefecture.

With each sandal crafted individually by skilled artisans, the company has gradually increased their product line through the support of repeat customers.

“Reela” is a brand of “room sabot” slippers created through a tireless commitment to comfort.

While conventional slippers are finished after they’ve been sewn together, Reela slippers are further shaped in wooden molds for about two days, resulting in comfortable footwear that fits the feet perfectly from the moment you first wear it.

Even the soles, which appear simple, are made with the utmost attention to detail. Cushioning material has been applied to both the top and bottom layers with additional cushioning at the heel for extra support when standing and to alleviate stress on the feet when walking.
