The handle is made of natural oak wood dyed with Japanese indigo to balance the weight for a luxurious look.
Indigo has natural deodorizing properties and also inhibits the growth of bacteria.
As it is naturally derived, it is safe and well-suited for kitchen utensils that require attention to hygiene.
