Description
The "TATAMI YOGA" series of yoga mats are made from rush (igusa) dyed in vivid colors and carefully woven by skilled craftsmen.
Rush has natural properties that suit a yoga mat: it helps reduce odors, absorbs and releases moisture, resists dirt, and has a calming natural scent, so you can relax and focus on your practice indoors or outdoors.
The underside is made of non-slip PVC rubber, the same material used for standard yoga mats, for grip and cushioning.
The edges are trimmed with fabric from Kaihara Denim, a leading Japanese denim maker known for its quality and craftsmanship, so the mat also looks great left out as a rug in your living room.
It also makes a lovely gift.
