With moderately thin chopstick tips and a triangle shape that fits comfortably in your hand, these chopsticks are very easy to use. They will not slip in your hand or roll around in the kitchen. The non-slip coating on the tips of the chopsticks makes it easy to grip slippery foods. In addition to use for cooking, they are also useful as chopsticks for serving platters of food.
A functional culinary companion brought to life on Kickstarter!
These beautiful natural wood "urushi" (lacquer) "saibashi" (cooking chopsticks) are made of a special lacquer called “MR urushi”, which makes them dishwasher-safe, despite being a completely natural material.
Made of lightweight, heat-resistant bamboo with a speckled tip for easy gripping, these cooking chopsticks are suitable not only for frying and stir-frying, but also for detailed work such as serving lunch boxes.
The saibashi were originally developed with support from backers on the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter, where 621 backers pre-ordered more than 1000 sets, which have since received very positive reviews.
The triangular shape of the chopsticks fits securely in your fingers and makes it difficult for them to roll around when placed on the cooking surface.
The 30 cm (11.8 in.) chopsticks are longer and thicker than standard chopsticks, helping you keep a safe distance between your hand and a hot pan and enabling you to pick up larger pieces of food while you cook or serve!
We hope you will use it in your kitchen every day.

How Japanese Products Can Be Such High Quality
The Saibashi are an example of a very simple idea being very useful. They're essentially extra large and extra robust chopsticks intended for cooking. They provide additional reach and allow for flipping larger items than regular chopsticks, great for turning over a whole steak or a fish fillet or whole vegetables.
The Kickstarter project was exceptionally smooth, very well run and shipped right on schedule. The craftsmanship of the Saibashi is excellent, and they are very comfortable in use.
I look forward to cooking with the Saibashi for a long time.
