Description
A camp machete made by traditional craftsman Iwai Takeshi.
Shinkan is a machete that incorporates the skills of Echizen hammered blades, which have been passed down through three generations.
It is light and strong.
The result is a hybrid machete made of steel and stainless steel.
It is especially useful in outdoor situations where a lot of firewood is used. It has a moderate weight, so that even a small amount of force is enough to firmly grip the firewood and split it comfortably.
It can also be swung up and operated with one hand from a kneeling position.
The handle is made of oak wood. The handle is specially made for the knife by the craftsmen who make the handles, so the grip and gentle feel are exceptional.
This is a gem that combines traditional techniques with modern sensibilities.
