For children using chopsticks for the first time, we carefully chamfered and rounded the chopsticks to create an octagonal shape that is comfortable for the hand and easy to hold.
The shape of the chopsticks is small from the tip to the base (the head of the chopsticks), so the surface in contact with the food is large, making them easier for children using chopsticks for the first time to pick up than chopsticks with narrow tips.
Craftsmen apply lacquer to each chopstick one by one using a technique called "wuki-urushi.
The lacquer is repeatedly applied and dried, taking about one month to complete seven coats of lacquer.
We recommend this product for birthday and seasonal celebrations.
