The word "agasuke" is a dialect word from the Tohoku region of Japan, meaning "dressed up," but unlike its name, this dish is delicately handcrafted.
The glaze is intentionally applied thinly in order to express unevenness in shading, and the molded fabric is further shaved to create unique curves and a fine, hairline-like texture.
The design of this dish is perfect for corn soup and other dishes. It is also recommended to serve salads and other dishes.
