KOROMO series teacups are filled with the charm of lacquer ware
The "KOROMO" series offers a combination of the texture of wood, the beauty of lacquer, and the charm of gold and silver maki-e.
The upper part of the teacup is painted using the "mehajiki" technique, which allows the grain of the wood to show through, while the lower part is finished with the grain of the wood as it is.
The gold and silver maki-e lines drawn on the border of the teacups add an impressive visual touch.
Since they are made of wood, the teacups are lightweight and well insulated, keeping your tea warm and enabling you to hold it directly without buring your hand.
Two colors are available: glittering vermilion with gold lines and black with silver lines.
The set can also be used for celebrations such as weddings and Respect-for-Senior-Citizens Day.
