Edo faceted glass with a linear design inspired by wood grain

The faceted pattern is created by cutting the glass. This tumbler has a striped pattern in which all straight lines are evenly spaced.

The design image is the annual ring of a tree. When a log is stood on the ground and cut vertically in the center, the annual rings of the tree are called "masame," or straight annual rings can be seen on the cut surface. This grain is only found in the center of the tree and is considered a symbol of high quality.
